Caring for the Environment, YKK API Receives an Award at HPSN 2024

PT YKK AP Indonesia (YKK API) demonstrated its commitment to environmental sustainability by actively participating in the 2024 National Waste Awareness Day, also known as Hari Peduli Sampah Nasional (HPSN) in the Tangerang Regency. The event, themed “Tackling Plastic Waste Productively,” took place from February 19 to 29, 2024, featuring a variety of engaging activities.

On February 19, YKK AP representatives participated in the opening ceremony of HPSN, coastal cleanup, mangrove planting, and a discussion on waste management and coastal conservation. On February 21, YKK API attended the socialization of the Tangerang Regency Waste Management Regulation and the launching of the Tangerang Regency Main Waste Bank.

The highlight of the HPSN 2024 event on February 29 was marked by the awarding of certificates to companies, communities, and developers who care about waste management in Tangerang Regency. YKK API received an award for its contribution to waste management through various Green CSR programs, including the establishment of waste banks, the donation of lunch boxes/tumblers to schools, and the provision of plastic bottle drop boxes and plastic bag reduction initiatives.

On this occasion, the Tangerang Regency government, through the Regent of Tangerang and the Head of the Environmental Agency, expressed its gratitude and appreciation for the contributions of companies, developers, and communities in improving waste management in Tangerang Regency. It is hoped that with the momentum of HPSN 2024, all members of the community can actively participate in reducing and overcoming plastic waste.
